The call for proposals for the next special issue of the Journal of Perspectives in Applied Academic Practice is now extended to the 9 January 2017.

The focus of this issue is 'Student Transitions' and the guest editor for this special issue is Professor Roni Bamber, Director of the Centre for Academic Practice at Queen Margaret University and Chair of the Theme Leaders' Group for the QAAS Enhancement Theme, 'Student Transitions'.

We welcome proposals on any aspect of the student experience in relation to transitioning in, through and out of higher education, e.g.:

  • The transition experience from school, college or the workplace into higher education
  • Placement or internship transitions
  • Transitioning into postgraduate study or employment
  • Understanding the learner perspective on transition
  • Explorations of transitions skills and strategies

Proposals which explore inter-institutional approaches to exploring student transition are particularly welcome. Proposals can be for original research, reflective analyses, case studies, 'on the horizon' pieces, opinion pieces and book reviews. Full guidance on article formats is available from http://jpaap.napier.ac.uk/

Proposals should be up to 300 words and include 5 keywords. Please also provide a short bio (of 50 words) for each author.
